GET YOUR GAME ON is a full day video game conference that is focused on promoting great acting in video games. It has been running for the last 4 years in London, UK and it has been incredibly popular and a massive success. Which is why we are bringing it for the first time to America. How the day will work is ......

* 9am - Registration

* 9.30am till 1pm - INSPIRING talks in the main hall. Talks will include subjects such as casting, auditions, directing, performance capture, acting for video games and so much more

* 1pm to 2pm - Lunch and networking

* 2pm till 4pm - Breakout INTERACTIVE workshops. All attendees will get to choose one 2 hour workshop. These workshops will be limited to 20 people each. Subjects that will be covered in these workshops will be performance capture auditions, how video game castings work, how to make it as a voice actor in LA, how to direct for video games and a few more tbc

* 4pm till 5pm - there will be a panel with Game Developers talking about how they design and build characters and scripts

* 5pm till 5.30 - The VOICEOVER JAM competition. The Voiceover Jam is a FUN competition that all attendees are welcome to enter. It actually happens the weekend of 14th, 15th and 16th February, all online. We put entrants into teams of 4 and they have 48 hours to create a 60 audio trailer for a video game. They will work together to write, cast, direct, record, mix and produce this trailer. It is then judged by the speakers and all entries will be played at GET YOUR GAME ON LA 2020. The winning team will then be announced and they will win lots of wonderful prizes.

* 5.30 till 6.30 - The Future of the video game industry panel. This is a very special panel when all the headline speakers will come together on stage to talk about what is happening and what is going to happen in video games.

* 6.30 till 9pm - Networking drinks

Andrea Toyias  - Senior Casting & Voice Director at Blizzard Entertainment

Andrea Toyias is the Senior Casting & Voice Director at Blizzard Entertainment where she brings a mix of characters to life in World of WarCraft, Diablo, StarCraft and the latest titles, Hearthstone and Overwatch. Andrea has been working in the video game industry for over 15 years. Andrea’s most recent work on Overwatch has led her all over the world searching for a mixture of voices to bring the characters to life.

Tom Keegan - Casting Director in Motion Capture, Performance Capture

 Tom Keegan - BAFTA GAMES Nominated 2018 'Narrative Award' as Director for the game Wolfenstein 2. Tom is one of the most in demand vide game Directors on the planet right now! He specialises in Motion Capture / Performance Capture and Audio Directing. Games title credits include the Battlefield series, Wolfenstein 1 & 2, Star Wars: Battlefront 2, Dead Rising 3 & 4, Mirror's Edge: Catalyst, Call of Duty: Modern Warfair Remastered, The Amazing Spiderman 2 and many more.

 

Mark Estdale  - Voice Director, Casting Director, Owner of OM and Vault 501. 

Mark Estdale is the Founder of OM in London, UK and Vault 501 in Los Angeles. He casts and records thousands of video games characters every year. He's the creator of the Game Immersive Voice Recording (GIVR) method, he's a technology designer, researcher, coach and has led professional development game workshops for the last decade at the world renowned London Drama Schools: RADA, The Drama Centre and LAMDA. He is known for work on Horizon Zero Dawn, The Witcher, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun,  The Vermintide series, The Trine games, Blair Witch, Wallace & Gromit's Grand Adventures, QUBE, the upcoming Desperados 3 and many hundreds of other titles.

Dave Fennoy - Award-winning video game voice actor and coach.

Dave Fennoy has played major roles in more than 150 video games, including some of the world’s biggest titles including The Walking Dead Game, Mafia 3, DOTA2, Metal Gear, World of Warcraft, World of Starcraft, Final Fantasy XV, Lego Dimensions, Bayonetta and lots more. His most recent works include Super Smash Bros. Unlimited, Darksiders III, Fallout 76, Spiderman, Lego the Incredibles, State of Decay 2, Suicide Squade: Hell to Pay and more. IMDb included him on the list of 'best male video game voices of all time'.

 

JB Blanc - Actor, Voice Director and Dialect Coach 

JB Blanc JB is a highly accomplished voice actor and director with projects in film, animation, video games, anime, and commercials.JB was born in Paris, France, grew up in the UK and has been an actor and director for 30 years since graduating from London’s Royal Academy Of Dramatic Art, working in all aspects of the business, including Motion Capture, Voice Acting, Film, Television, Radio and Theatre. Victoria Atkin - Actor, Voice Actor, Motion Capture Specialist and Coach.

Victoria is Evie Frye in Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the first playable female for the franchise on next generation consoles. Not only did Victoria provide the voice for the character but she performed the full motion and facial capture as well.Victoria's performance as Evie has been highly acclaimed in the gaming world and since she has continued to voice for some of the biggest franchises. Victoria has voiced for Titanfall 2 and Middle-Earth: Shadow of War. Victoria voices Mailen and Sekuli in Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds. 

 

Neil Kaplan is an American voice actor, entertainer and comedian.

Neil is possibly best known around the world for having provided the voice for the iconic hero Optimus Prime on 2001's "TRANSFORMERS: ROBOTS IN DISGUISE". On the opposite end of the spectrum of good and evil lies Neil's award winning portrayal of galactic Emperor Zarkon, on Dreamworks Animation's spectacular "VOLTRON: LEGENDARY DEFENDER".

Portia Scott, The Director of Voiceover at Coast to Coast Talent Group.

Portia runs the division with a great staff representing both adult and youth talent in all areas of voiceover. Portia's clients have booked hundreds of broadcast TV & Radio Commercials and several National Campaigns such as Wells Fargo, Wendy's, and T-Mobile to name a few. Her talent can been found as series regulars on Disney TV Animation, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Dreamworks TV and Feature Animation, and a plethora of Animated Feature Films. Recent work includes, Academy Award Winner “Toy Story 4”, “Abominable”  Academy Award Winner “Into The Spiderverse”,”Shazam” “The Little Prince”, Pixar's “Cars 3”,  Academy Award Winner “Inside Out” Rise of the Guardians”, Netflix/Nickelodeon- “Glitch Techs”. 

 

Andrew Atkin, Manager at ACM Talent

Andrew brings a wealth of entertainment industry experience to the team at ACM.  He is a graduate of Ohio State University and subsequently received his MFA in Film and TV from Chapman University in California. He began his career in voice over in Los Angeles at Sutton, Barth & Vennari (SBV) before advancing to the William Morris Agency where he pioneered the West Coast promo & trailer department. His creative expertise, allows him to nurture contacts in all areas of entertainment--from actors and producers, to a variety of decisions makers and creative personnel. Currently, he oversees all work related to movie trailers, television promotions, and many other areas of advertising for ACM.

The talks will be inspiring and will cover not just voice acting but directing, auditions, casting, motion capture, and more.

The day will be broken down into sections there will be lots of inspiring and informative talks, you will get the choice of picking 1 smaller breakout workshop sessions in the afternoon with one of our speakers who will cover topics including audition techniques, Performance Capture, Character Development for video Games, Video games Auditions and more. There will be THE VOICEOVER JAM competition winners who will be announced, we will have two panels including one on the future of the video game industry and another about how to break into the LA market, then the day will finish with fantastic networking opportunities and drinks.

VON VOICEOVER JAM

We will be running the Extremly popular VOICEOVER JAM 2020 competition. This is a competition where attendees can put themselves forward for it, they will be put into a team of 4 or 5 people and then over a period of 48 hours the weekend 2 weeks before GET YOUR GAME ON LA 2020 each team will be given a fake video game and will then have 48 hours to write a short script, cast it, record, edit and produce a 60 second video game audio trailer. More details on how to enter this competition will be sent later and this is included in your ticket.

All entries will be played to our panel of judges and also played out to all attendees at GET YOUR GAME ON LA 2020 where the winning team will be announced and awarded some fantastic prizes.
